Business value

Revenue-critical journeys, end to end.

Customer-to-Cash carries the commercial relationship: the offer, the contract, the tariff it is priced on, the invoice, and the collection that closes it. Meter-to-Cash covers the measurement: the reading, its validation, and the volumes that reach the bill. Each process is complete, and both use the same customer, contract, and asset data.

Sign, serve, and get paid

Customer-to-Cash

  1. 01Onboard customers and manage the full customer master data
  2. 02Contracts with flexible billing frequency and intervals
  3. 03Billing schedules generated automatically on contract signing
  4. 04Bill periodically, collect payments, manage overdue accounts

From reading to revenue

Meter-to-Cash

  1. 01Register meters and metering points with rich technical data
  2. 02Ingest meter values and consumption manually or via integration
  3. 03Turn readings into billable consumption with configurable rules
  4. 04Price and invoice consumption accurately, down to tariff tiers

Capabilities at a glance

Customer & contract management

Full customer master. Draft and signed contracts with auto IDs, parent–child hierarchies with weighting, and attribute-driven segmentation for precise pricing.

Meters & metering points

Full meter and metering type setup: value or time-series, cumulative or delta. Prepaid vouchers with automated work orders.

Metering data & consumption

Meter values and consumption per reading period. Metering types mapped to consumption types with rules, saved as reusable templates.

Flexible pricing & billing

Price groups and pricing linked to attributes, product, contract, or metering point. Tiered volume-slicing tariffs and automated billing schedules.

Revenue protection & collections

Credit limits, risk scoring, and rule-based order holds. Aging, write-offs, dunning, NSF, plus meter-relation and digit-detection checks.

Automation & configuration

Scheduled jobs, mass contract activation, template roll-out across groups, and workflows. Configurable parameters, attributes, calendars, and IDs.

Engine Architecture & specifications

dEUS Engine: built for meter data at volume.

dEUS Engine uses Apache Spark, the open-source distributed processing engine, with Apache Iceberg, a high-performance table format for large analytic datasets. It is built in Python and SQL on a lakehouse architecture, and runs on a customizable rule set: business users and data analysts can define processing logic without core code changes.

Processing pipeline

  1. 01

    Ingestion

Reads and standardizes diverse time-series formats, then loads them into Iceberg tables.

  2. 02

    Gap-filling

Missing-value checks add values using customizable algorithms: interpolation, copy, and more.

  3. 03

    Validation

A rule set defines which validations and transformations run, ensuring quality and consistency.

  4. 04

    Calculation

Arithmetic and logical operations applied per record, before windowing or aggregation.

  5. 05

    Aggregation

Standard mathematical and statistical operations, plus high-complexity custom operations.

Engineering foundation

Research and design

Designed with the support of the National HPC Competence Centre

The architecture for high-volume time-series processing was designed together with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, UKIM, which acts as the National HPC (High-Performance Computing) Competence Centre in North Macedonia.

Platform and scale

Parquet files under Iceberg schema, tuned for volume

The columnar layout and partitions help each run read only the periods and meters it needs, and compression keeps years of data at an efficient size. Iceberg adds schema evolution and snapshots, so formats can change and past runs can be re-run.

Performance
100,000s of meters within a few hours
Deployment
Windows or Linux, local or cloud

dEUS Engine runs stand-alone or integrated with other dEUS software or third-party solutions. Apache Spark and Apache Iceberg are trademarks of the Apache Software Foundation.

Why dEUS Utilities

Partners, not clients.

You get quality, availability, and commitment.

dEUS is based on decades of experience with utility supplier software, ERP development, and customization – especially Dynamics-based systems. We speak the industry-specific language and understand the processes involved, so we can follow frequent market and regulatory changes promptly and with high quality.

Integration

The family is API-driven. Standard Dynamics 365 data import/export mechanisms apply out of the box. dEUS Engine pulls setup and master data from other dEUS or third-party systems and delivers processed cumulative results back to them.

Deployment

dEUS 365 and UP follow the Microsoft cloud model of the tenant they sit in. dEUS Engine runs on any cloud or on-premises, on Windows or Linux, stand-alone or integrated.
